Carbon ProductsGraphite Electrode Trading Stable, Fierce Competition in Carburants

1. Graphite Electrode Market

During the week of May 13-17, China's graphite electrode market prices remained stable with steady trading. Low-sulfur calcined coke companies saw average sales, driven mainly by essential demand. The graphite electrode market lacked significant positive factors, with downstream demand remaining weak. The operating rate of independent electric arc furnaces in China slightly decreased, while capacity utilization slightly increased. The graphite electrode market is expected to remain stable in the near future.

2. Carburant Market

During the same week, China's carburant market remained stable, with an average price of 3900 RMB/ton. Support from the cost side was weak, and steel mills were pushing down prices, leading to weak trading and significant competitive pressure. The carburant market is expected to weaken slightly next week. Follow us for timely updates on the carbon products market!
