Oil-based needle coke

According to customs statistics, in August 2022, China's oil-based needle coke import volume was 0.57 million tons, an increase of 16.81% year-on-year and a decrease of 33.88% month-on-month. From January to August 2022, China's oil-based needle coke total import volume was 77,000 tons, a increase of 5.84% year-on-year. 100% Need coke as raw material, UHP graphite electrode has low oxidation consumption, as a conductive material widely used in electric arc furnace. In August 2022, the main import countries of China's oil-based needle coke were the United Kingdom and the United States, with the import volume of 4300 tons and 1000 tons respectively. 

Coal-based needle coke

According to customs statistics, China's coal-based needle coke import volume in August 2022 was 4100 tons, an increase of 68.95% month-on-month and a decrease of 17.54% year-on-year. From January to August 2022, China's coal-based needle coke total import volume was 55,900 tons, a decrease of 28.90% year-on-year.
