Graphitized carburant is a carbon increasing raw material. When added in a certain quantity during the smelting process, increases the carbon content in molten iron, thereby improving the mechanical properties of metal castings. As Graphitized carburant finds widespread applications in the metallurgical industry, it has become an essential auxiliary additive for the production of high-quality castings.

The process involves taking calcined petroleum coke and lifting it to the top material bin of a vertical graphitization furnace using an elevator. Inside the material bin, the calcined petroleum coke descends into the vertical graphitization furnace through a discharge port due to its own gravity. According to the technological requirements, electricity is supplied to the vertical graphitization furnace. The electrical resistance of the calcined petroleum coke itself transforms the supplied electric energy into thermal energy. As the material is gradually discharged from the bottom of the graphitization furnace, the material bed inside the furnace descends, and the calcined petroleum coke is progressively heated to temperatures ranging from 2500 to 3000°C, undergoing high-temperature graphitization. At this point, a lattice transformation of carbon atoms occurs, removing moisture and volatile components from the material, resulting in high-quality, thermally stable, high-performance carbon material.

The graphitized high-performance carbon material descends further and is gradually cooled by water-cooled walls, water-cooled supports, and a bottom water-cooled material tray surrounding the lower part of the vertical graphitization furnace. The material's temperature decreases to room temperature. After cooling, it is discharged through the bottom discharge equipment of the graphitization furnace to become Graphitized carburant.
