【Anode Materials】Significant increase in anode production in March!

In March 2024, China's anode material production reached 144,870 tons, marking a 70% increase month-on-month and a 19% increase year-on-year.

Looking at the demand for this month, in the power sector, March saw intense price competition among new energy vehicle companies, and new vehicle models drew significant attention to the overall new energy vehicle market. With the dual impact of low prices and high interest, there was a noticeable increase in new energy vehicle sales, boosting the demand for battery cells and primary anode materials. In terms of energy storage, after experiencing sluggish market transactions in January and February, demand began to recover in March, leading to a rebound in production and sales at battery cell factories and driving an increase in anode material purchases. On the consumer front, influenced by the launch of a large number of new smartphone models in April, battery cell factories often ramp up production in advance, leading to an increase in anode material demand. Anode Material Graphitized Petroleum Coke, product specifications details.

In April, downstream battery cell enterprises and the end market are expected to continue recovering, further driving up the demand for anode materials. Concurrently, the operational rates of middle and rear-rank anode enterprises are expected to rise following market trends, leading to increased production rates in the anode industry. It is projected that in April 2024, China's anode material production will reach 155,750 tons, representing an 8% increase month-on-month and a 31% increase year-on-year. For more information on the lithium battery anode market in April, feel free to communicate with us.
