This week, the domestic graphite electrode price continues to decrease slightly, with a decrease range of 500-700 yuan/ton. As of press time, ultra-high power graphite electrode φ 450 quotation was 20000-20500 yuan/ton, φ 600 quotation was 23500-25200 yuan/ton; High power graphite electrode φ 300-500 quotation was 19000-20000 yuan/ton, regular power graphite electrode φ 300-500 quotation of was 17500-18500 yuan/ton, and the market transaction is general.

In terms of downstream, there are 71 independent EAF steel plants in China, with an average operating rate of 50%, up 1.12% from the previous month, down 16.02% year on year. Among them, East China showed a slight upward trend, South China showed a significant upward trend, southwest showed a slight downward trend, and other regions remained flat. The average cost of 18 independent EAF construction steel plants was 4701 yuan/ton, up 1 yuan/ton from last week. The start-up of electric furnace is picking up, which is good for the domestic graphite electrode market.

In terms of raw materials, Jinxi Jinzhou petroleum coke was sold at guaranteed prices, part of the coke price pushed up 30-100 yuan/ton. However, due to the upgrading of environmental protection supervision in some areas, the graphite electrode market demand is limited, and the maximum limit restricts the graphite electrode price. In order to speed up the return of funds before end of the year, it is difficult for graphite electrode manufacturers to increase the price. It is expected that the domestic ultra-high power graphite electrode market may operate stably and weakly in the short term, to get the latest graphite electrode price news from us.
