【Graphite Electrode】April Exports Remained Stable Month-on-Month, While Demand from Russia Surged

According to customs data, China's graphite electrode export market remained generally stable in April 2026. Total export volume reached 21,700 tons, up slightly by 0.20% month-on-month, basically unchanged from the previous month. However, affected by multiple factors such as overseas market conditions, the year-on-year decline was significant, with exports down 28.08% compared with the same period last year.

From the perspective of export destinations, Russia, Türkiye, and Brazil remained the major overseas markets for China's graphite electrode exports this month, with export volumes in the same tier.

Among them, graphite electrode exports to Russia reached 1,600 tons, up 176.46% month-on-month, showing a substantial increase; demand in the Turkish market declined, with graphite electrode exports to Türkiye reaching 1,600 tons, down 30.57% month-on-month; the Brazilian market maintained a steady recovery trend, with graphite electrode exports to Brazil reaching 1,600 tons, up 12.81% month-on-month.

Overall, demand among the major export destinations showed significant divergence this month. Russia's purchasing volume increased substantially, becoming the core driving force behind regional export growth.
